We are a family of farmers who have been nurturing a small piece of land in the heart of Tuscany for over 150 years.
In 2012, Carlo and Gabriela started this venture with the aim of consuming healthy and genuine products. Initially, the vegetable garden occupied only a few meters within the Montemorli Farm, but as their children were born, the family grew… and so did the garden. That’s how it all began!
The name “Pomaio” or “Pomario” comes from the Latin pomarium, meaning “fruit tree” or “orchard.” The heart of our farm lies within what used to be the pomarium of the Montemorli Villa, still owned by our family and long known by the name Pomaio.

Fresh Fruits and
Vegetables and Organic Eggs.
Our land is cultivated and certified according to organic farming principles: we respect seasonality, crop rotation, and do not use synthetic products.
Every day, we harvest the freshest vegetables directly from our garden, without the use of cold storage, to guarantee our customers produce picked within 24 hours.
We are the only certified organic egg producers in Poggibonsi (Siena). Our hens live outdoors, with plenty of space to roam freely.
Extra Virgin
Olive Oil
Our extra virgin olive oil is made from native varieties — Leccino, Moraiolo, and Frantoio — with about 1,200 trees spread over 4 hectares. The olive trees grow on the highest hilltop of Montemorli, on land once cultivated by Olivetan monks.
The olives are harvested and pressed on the same day using cold mechanical methods in a protected atmosphere to minimize oxidation and ensure a product of the highest quality. Our oil is fresh and delicate, with notes of artichoke and ripe tomato. Perfect for enhancing any dish… or simply enjoyed on a slice of toasted bread, our favorite snack!
